Our guarantees and warranties start on the day of purchase. When making a claim you will need the original purchase receipt as proof of purchase.

  BESTÅ system storage cabinets have been tested to meet our quality and durability requirements. IKEA strictly controls the formaldehyde content to meet EU standards. The panel is durable, back and bottom were treated with edge sealing to decrease the risk of damp. It is safe, sturdy and durable and meets the daily use standards of ordinary families. The coverage of this quality guarantee is subject to the terms and rules in this booklet.

What is covered under this guarantee?

This guarantee applies to domestic use only and covers structural manufacturing defect in material of the BESTÅ system storage cabinets; includes frames, door/drawer fronts, interior fittings and parts, legs.
 

What is not covered under this guarantee?

• Products that have been stored or installed incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, misused, altered or cleaned with wrong cleaning methods or wrong cleaning products
• Normal wear and tear, cuts or scratches, or damage caused by impacts or accidents
• Damages caused by external factors such as exposure to the sun and water, dampness, dust or mites etc.
• Any products without the original copy of sales receipt and invoice
• Knobs and handles, storage boxes, drawer divider, drawer mat.

What is covered under this guarantee?
It covers defects in materials, workmanship, and function of all the mentioned products when combined in a correct way and assembled according to assembly instructions.

What is not covered under this guarantee?
This guarantee does not apply to products mentioned in this guarantee document, that have been stored or assembled incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, misused, altered, or cleaned with wrong cleaning methods or wrong cleaning products.

This guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, cuts or scratches, or damage caused by impacts or accidents. This guarantee does not apply if the products have been placed outdoors, in prolonged direct sunlight or in a humid environment e.g. kitchen and bathroom.

This guarantee does not cover consequential or incidental damages.

IKEA will examine the product and decide, at its sole discretion, if it is covered under this guarantee. If considered covered, IKEA through its own service operations, will then, at its sole discretion, either repair the defective product or replace it with the same or a comparable product. If it is covered by this guarantee, IKEA will pay the costs of repairs, spare parts, labour and travel for repair staff, that IKEA incur, provided that the product is accessible for repair without special expenditure. This does not apply to any repair work not authorized by IKEA. PAX/KOMPLEMENT

What is covered under this guarantee?
This guarantee applies to domestic use only for clothes and shoe storage and covers defects in material and workmanship in the following components of the PAX/KOMPLEMENT wardrobes and interior organisers:

• Frames
• Hinged doors and hinges
• Dividers for frames and shelf inserts for frames.
• Sliding doors and sliding door mechanism

Mattresses

What is covered under this guarantee?
This guarantee covers defects in material and workmanship in all mattresses. The guarantee covers split seams, damaged springs, broken handles, broken mattress base and substantial sagging. The original purchase receipt is required as proof of purchase. This guarantee applies to domestic use only.

This guarantee does not apply to:

• This guarantee policy does not apply to all mattress pads, sofa beds, and children mattresses.
• We do not offer a guarantee on mattresses that are developed to be used directly on the floor, or so-called futon mattresses (for example JESSHEIM)

This guarantee is valid for 5 (five) years from the initial date of purchase. TILLREDA and LAGAN equipment has 2 (two) year guarantee, valid from the initial date of purchase.

We provide a 10-year guarantee for BROR storage system, starting from the purchase date. Original receipt is needed as proof of purchase.

How long is this guarantee valid?

The guarantee for SKYTTA sliding doors remains in force for ten (10) years and is valid from the date of purchase. The original purchase receipt is required as proof of purchase.

The floor rail tapes in place to the floor. The guarantee does not cover any marks or damages left on the surface when taken off.

IKEA offers a 15-year warranty on pots, pans, and woks without a non-stick coating. This warranty covers functionality, materials, and workmanship, ensuring the product performs well when used according to instructions (cooking and cleaning once a day).

IKEA offers a 15-year warranty on most kitchen knives. This warranty covers sharpness, material quality, and craftsmanship, ensuring the knives perform optimally when used as directed (cutting food, hand washing, and regular sharpening). It also guarantees handle durability and rust resistance. However, the warranty does not cover non-domestic use, certain knives like steak knives, or cosmetic changes that don’t affect functionality. Be sure to keep your receipt for any warranty claims.
